the storm
Don't worry, my friends outside of the Pacific Northwest. All, err, 5 of you who actually read my blog. We're still here and at this particular moment the sky is blue (by and large). Fitting, methinks, after all the madness of wind and branches. But then again, I'm an optimist.

Hmmm, I really must be an optimist. The sky was only blue outside my window as I updated my little blog... the drive to work included some rain and more stormy lookin' weather. Such is life.
Hold the phone... We now have snow, people.
Fickle weather we're having today.
So, how many trees are down and has anyone lost power? The last big wind/rain storm that I lived through there caused about two dozen trees and power outages for most of the city. In fact, the Matt-Lizzie residence didn't have power for 2-3 weeks after the storm. I heard a news report today on NPR from KLCC (sigh! - I didn't even like it but I miss it?!), that said the weather was very bad.
Oh, it was bad everywhere else but here. Really, there was all this hullabaloo for very little. We've gone back to breezy weather with a caveat, there appears to be consistent sun now. Perhaps optimism won out after all.
